Once upon a time — long before chocolate eggs and pastel baskets — there was a bunny with a very important job.
Every spring, he would wake before dawn, load up his basket, and hide. He hid eggs behind tree roots, under garden benches, inside hollow logs. He hid them so well that half the children never found them. He hid them so well that sometimes, honestly, even he forgot where he'd put them.
He was excellent at his job. But deep down, he had a question he never dared ask out loud:
Why are we hiding the good stuff?
It's a fair question, if you think about it.
Easter is the one holiday built entirely around the idea that joy needs to be earned through effort. You want the chocolate? Go find it. You want the prize egg? You'd better check under every bush. We've been thinking about that a lot at Blidz lately.
