Why We Updated Our Terms — And What It Says About Us 📋

We already mentioned our updated Terms of Service in a previous post. But we wanted to come back to it — because the why behind the change matters more to us than the change itself.

Terms of Service shouldn't require a law degree

Let's be honest. Most Terms of Service documents are written for lawyers, not people. They're long, dense, and deliberately hard to get through. And that's usually the point — the less you read, the less you question.

That's never been the kind of company we want to be.

When we looked at our old Terms, we asked ourselves a simple question: if a Blidz member sat down and read this, would they actually understand what they signed up for?

The answer wasn't good enough. So we fixed it.

Transparency isn't a policy. It's a value.

Every change we made to our Terms came from the same place — a genuine belief that you deserve to know exactly what you're agreeing to, exactly how your billing works, and exactly what to expect from Blidz.

That means plain language. No legal gibberish. No buried clauses. No gotchas hiding three pages deep.

It also means being upfront about changes we've made to the platform — like the removal of in-app games — rather than quietly updating a document and hoping nobody notices. You noticed. We made sure of it.

This is what accountability looks like

Updating terms is something every company does. Telling your users about it directly, explaining what changed and why, and inviting them to actually read it — that's rarer than it should be.

We're committed to being that company. Not because it's a good PR move. Because it's the right thing to do.

If you haven't read the updated Terms yet, we genuinely encourage you to. They're actually worth your time now. 💛
