We've been thinking about this for a while. Blidz was built for people who are thoughtful about money — who know that a dollar saved is a dollar with potential. And some of our users have been very clear that one of the things they'd like to do with that potential is give it away. This feature is for them.
Your Blidz Bucks can now do more than save you money
Since day one, Blidz Bucks have been about one thing: putting value back in your hands. You earn them by shopping, browsing, watching, chatting — and you redeem them for discounts and rewards that make your next purchase cheaper.
Today, we're adding a new place to put them.
You can now choose to redeem your Blidz Bucks toward a good cause. When you go to redeem, simply select the charity option and your Bucks will be directed to one of our trusted charity partners. No extra steps, no separate donation flow — just a simple choice at the point of redemption.
A couple of things worth knowing: redemptions toward charity require a minimum of $5 in Blidz Bucks. We'll also be expanding our charity partners over time — if there's a cause or organisation you'd love to see supported through Blidz, let us know.
There's something genuinely meaningful about this: the idea that the points you earned by tapping on a deal or watching a video could end up making a real difference somewhere. Small actions, real consequences.
Your Blidz Bucks were always yours to use however made sense. Now that includes something bigger than a discount.
Redeem for good — available now in the app. To access this feature, make sure you're on the latest version of the app — release 6.8.42, available now on both the App Store and Google Play. If you haven't updated yet, head there first and the charity redemption option will be waiting for you.
